The most common reasons for being too thin and failing to grow at an appropriate rate is parasitic infestation and / or a diet that is not appropriate. I would recommend having a fecal sample analyzed to see if Sandy is in need of a dewormer. I would also make sure she is receiving a high quality puppy food in an appropriate quantity. If both of these criteria are already met and she is still not performing well, she needs to be assessed by a veterinarian for some additional diagnostic testing. Hope this makes sense.

It is hard to tell if this is normal or not without seeing her. Please repost with a photo of your pet from up top and from the sides so we can evaluate her body condition score a bit more. If she is thin, then she may have some intestinal parasites as the cause, especially if her stools are a bit on the softer side. A dewormer is needed if that is the case, depending on what worms she has. We look forward to hearing back from you soon with attached photos! Best wishes and take care.
