My dog just got neutered. Is ear scratching with a cone too much?

Oliver just got neutered today, and I was wondering if him using his back leg to try to scratch his ear with a rapid kicking motion (he has a cone on) is too much movement. Our vet said that he shouldnt be active, but I didnt think to ask if scratching counts as being too active. Pet's info: Dog | Boston Terrier | Male | neutered | 7 months and 25 days old | 6.4 lbs
