My dog has a lump on his mast cell tumor removal scar. Is it normal?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | neutered | 4 years and 1 month old | 65 lbs

Hello marleys had 2 mct removed one on his leg which was 1 year and half ago the one on his head 7 months ago, on the scar on his leg i think has always had a lump at the end which u can slightly see it at a distance is this normal or should i take him back to the vets? He does have a slight bump where the one on his head is but cant see it really and vet said thats normal so im just looking for advice please

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Marley! Scar tissue formation is normal at the site of an incision. But due to Marley's history of mast cell tumors and their propensity to regrow that the site, I would have him evaluated by your Vet and consider aspirating the area to be sure it isn't the mast cell returning. The fact that the lump is that then end makes me think it is more likely scar tissue. I hope this helps and I wish Marley the best!
