My dog is sneezing a lot and vomited once. Should I be concerned?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Golden Labrador | Female | spayed | 5 years old | 60 lbs

Hello, I have noticed over the past few days that my dog has been sneezing more than usual. Not sneezing a lot, just more than usual, several times a day. Also, she vomited a few nights ago as well. Nothing since then though, no diarrhea, eating and drinking fine, acting the same. Do I have any reason to be concerned? This has all happened within the past 3-4 days. The vomiting was 2 days ago.

I wouldn't be very concerned with what you are describing. It's likely that the vomiting was unrelated to the recent sneezing and I don't get too concerned about an occasional vomit as long as the dog is otherwise acting normal. The sneezing may be due to something irritating in the environment, or a minor infection. I would check to see if there are any new perfumes, diffusers, or other possible new smells that have been introduced to the household. It may also be due to an increase in dust or pollens in your area. I hope that helps and Lucy gets better soon.
