My 8 year old female cat got a 4.8 creatinine immediately after her spaying in the beginning of December. It's 4.5 now. Weight 3.5 kgs. She's on renal diet, Fe supplements, ipakitine powder, renal essentials, velcote syrup, some herbal liquids & lactulose. Thing is, she has tapeworms both in her vomit amd her poop. Vet suggested 0.4 ml of 0.8 ml Advocate spot on. Said it would reduce the worm load at least. He is unwilling to give oral medication. Is the spot on medication and the dosage safe?

Advocate is not effective against tapeworms. I recommend you get your vet to identify the worms to ensure they are indeed tapeworms so the safest and most appropriate treatment can be prescribed. There are very few treatments available for tapeworm and they are mostly oral products
