Is xylitol in peanut butter deadly for my 5-month-old puppy?

Pet's info: Dog | Shiba Inu | Male | unneutered | 4 months and 24 days old | 28 lbs

Can my 5 month old puppy eat this type of peanut butter in his Kong toy.I heard some peanut butter have xylitol which is deadly to dogs so can you tell me if Hachi can eat it?

Xylitol would be clearly labeled on the Ingredients label. I do not see xylitol on this label. I just cannot see the rest of the jar, so if it doesn't have xylitol written on it, it should be safe for Hachi. Typically the natural peanut butters are the one that contain the xylitol in it. It is always recommend to check any label before giving anything to your dog since multiple different things can have xylitol in it.     Thank you for taking a picture of the whole label. I do not see xylitol listed, and since it would be clearly labeled in the ingredients, this jar should be safe for Hachi. Typically, it’s the natural peanut butters that may contain xylitol, so it’s always recommended to check any label before giving anything to your dog, as multiple products can have it. You can always put the peanut butter in the Kong, and freezing it after filling can help keep puppies occupied a little longer. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center.
