our 7 year old westie went blind and the vet optomolgist said there was nothing that could be done? is she right

If an opthalmologist has evaluated Bella and reports that there is nothing to be done, then I suspect that Bella has something wrong with her retinas. My dog has progressive retinal atrophy and has been blind for a couple of years. I went to 2 opthalmologists just to make sure of the diagnosis, so you can certainly get another opinion from another ophthalmologist just to be sure. Unfortunately, we do not have any treatment for diseases of the retina, so we are left with a blind dog. Fortunately, blind dogs do great and can have a great quality of life.
