Why is my dog losing hair around his eyes and face, and squinting?

My dog has a skin condition starting around his eyes and down one side of his face it looks like some of the hair might be coming out he kinda squints his eyes a little to. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | unneutered | 65 lbs

There are multiple problems that could cause symptoms such as this. Bacterial or Fungal skin infection or mites are the most likely. However, immune mediated problems, zinc deficiency, and cancers are also possible. I would encourage you to have him evaluated by your veterinarian soon. They may want to take a skin scrape to look for mites. He will likely need antibiotics and possibly other medications. Best of luck and I hope he improves soon. Thank you for using Pet Coach.
