Yes, you should absolutely take a rabbit to the veterinarian. Rabbits have special needs for their diet and husbandry and your veterinarian will be able to provide specific recommendations. They will also do a physical exam which will help keep Yazzie healthy and detect problems hat may not be obvious yet. Rabbits are prey species, so they hide signs of pain and illness imitate until things are advanced. Therefore, wellness exams 1-2 times a year are important. Rabbits should be seen by a vet if they have decreased appetite or decreased fecal output for more than 8-12 hours, or have any other signs of illness or pain.
