Pet's info: Dog | Jack Russell Terrier | Female | spayed | 5 years and 7 months old | 12 lbs
5.5yr old female, small JRT yelps at times when we touch her, seems to have stiffness in legs when waking, yet when walking, behaves completely normally...should I worry?

Poor Peanut. She could have some early onset on arthritis. I would try to start her on a joint supplement and omega 3 fatty acids. I really like either dasuquin or flexadin UC-II for joint supplements. I like veteriscience's Omega 3 6 9 for omega 3 FAs. If she seems really stiff, you may want your vet to take a look at her to see if she would be a candidate for an anti-inflammatory even if it is just on an as needed basis. I do not recommend to give any human pain meds as most are toxic to dogs. I hope this helps!
