Why is my dog limping on his front leg and struggling to stand?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Rottweiler | Male | 8 months and 29 days old | 9 lbs

My dog is limping very hard on his front legs...He's got no swelling or wounds..he runs kinda good but not perfect I see him limping less while running..he barely stands after a nap and due to that he's standing less..I'm worried if his bone is broken..Should I x-ray him ? And any other treatments to reduce the pain?

You should take Bones to your vet in order to get it checked, he might have a joint disease or cartilage inflammation, you prevent him from running until you get it checked, an xray will probably be needed before starting him on any type of treatment.

It sounds like he is suffering from a very serious leg injury, you need to take him to the vet as soon as possible today to get it checked and treated, an xray may very well be needed if a fracture is suspected.
