How often should my dog get DHLP and PV shots after puppy boosters?

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Yes. If Sosq has never been vaccinated he needs two DHPP vaccines (distemper, hepatitis, parvo and parainfluenza) 3-4 weeks apart. The 2nd DHPP is good for one year. He also can get a Rabies vaccine, which is good for 1 year. If Sosq did receive all his puppy shot and a Rabies vaccine then he is due for vaccines a year later which tends to be around 16 months. His DHPP and Rabies will be boosted and will be good for 3 years. I would contact your Vet for the expiration dates of his vaccines. I hope this helps and I wish you and Sosq the best!

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Studies have shown that the Distemper/parvo vaccine may have protective immunity for 3-7 years after vaccination. If you are worried I would consider having a distemper and parvo titre done on Zandalee's blood. Be sure that Zandalee is updated on her Rabies as well. Raccoons also carry rabies. (The longest time I could find cited was 2 years in the environment). I say that not to alarm you, but to clarify that some caution should be taken. Since its been nearly 2 years, it is unlikely that your house and yard are a source of parvo, and I do not think you need to do anything specific to disinfect or decontaminate. It depends on how old she is. I recommend waiting two weeks then giving the booster. She will need at least two more vaccinations, the last one being when she is at least fourteen weeks old. Please keep she away from other dogs until she’s fully vaccinated. She can get her rabies vaccination at four months. And depending on your area she should be started on heartworm prevention soon. Hello. It has not been too long. Give Teddy his booster vaccinations now, or as soon as possible. Then another booster in 3-4 weeks. You can give another booster 3-4 weeks after this second one, but it may not be absolutely necessary. If in doubt, give it. Then, in one year, you can booster again. Ollie should have sufficient immunity against parvovirus. The typical vaccination schedule is to booster the parvovirus combination vaccine every 3-4 weeks until 16-20 weeks of age then repeat at about one year of age. After that the vaccine is given every 1-3 years. If he had the vaccine schedule as a puppy and then had a booster at 8 months he should be fine.
