Pet's info: Dog | Basset Hound | Male | unneutered | 8 years old | 52 lbs
I have a 8 year old Basset Hound. He has had a yeast infection a time or two in his ears and been treated and healed nicely. In November, a pimple popped up in his ear. Not on the pinna or canal but still inside. Then he started leaking brown stuff out of his ear. Like really leaking. Smelly. But it smelled like the same old yeast to me, but I’m no vet. Vet game him some meds in his ear (very expensive) put him on Keflex. Went to vet again. Now more pimples are popping up.

This could indicate a deep bacterial infection, an antibiotic resistant infection or even a mass/polyp in his ear. If it isn't getting better your veterinarian may necessitate to do a culture to determine what type of bacteria is present and if the medications they've given will be effective.
