Are pet whisperers legitimate? How can I truly understand my dog?

There is a "PET WHISPERER' at our local park. She charges $40. per pet. She can speak for your pet, answer any questions you may have regarding your pet. Example: Is my dog happy with the other dog that I just rescued? Is my dog happy with the food they receive? What do my dogs do all day when I'm at work? What can I do to make my dogs happier? I would like to be able to communicate w/my dogs. Is this legitimate, do they have a gift to do this or is it just my emotion? What do you think? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | neutered | 75 lbs

I would be very wary about this. Oftentimes these people may just be very good at reading animal and human body language to tell you what you want to hear.
