Is my dog coughing after drinking water because of a low bowl?

My dog usually coughs after drinking water. She's medium height and her water bowl is floor level. She's 7 years old. Could the leaning down to drink water be a factor in her coughing? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | spayed | 7 years and 1 month old | 26 lbs
