My 8 yr old dog has a little blood in her stool. She hasn’t lost her appetite and her mood hasn’t changed. She is going more often than usual but no diarrhea. What could it be?

It can be n infection or dietary indiscretion if she ate something she should not have. This can result in pancreatitis. HGE is a ooosisbikty and has an unknown cause or can be stressed induced. Anytime there is blood in the stool it is recommended to see a vet as soon as possible since they can progress to vomiting With. Bloody diarrhea. At that point IV fluids and hospitalization is typically required, so the sooner it is treated the better
