My dog is hacking, sad, gassy, and has a stomach ache. What's wrong?

My dog keeps hacking like he's trying to get up a hairball. He seems really sad and i can tell his stomach hurts. He alsos been farting alot. We don't really have the money right now to go to a vet so this is my last resource. P.s he is a bichon frise about 3 or 4. Pet's info: Dog | Bichon Frise | Male | unneutered | 14 lbs

Hi. Sorry to hear Riley is acting abnormal. Hacking could be coughing/respiratory in nature, or it could be GI in nature. Possibilities include upper respiratory infections, reflux, fungal infections, nausea, and many GI/tummy problems. To determine or lead us towards finding the cause, Riley will need an exam, and most likely some x-rays of abdomen or chest. Unfortunately he will need a veterinarian to examine him to start.
