My Havanese has itchy ears, but the vet said they're okay. Why?

My Havanese scratches his ears; already took him in to see a Vet Dr at Petco two weeks ago, said his ears are fine... What else could it be? It was Petco’s “Vetco” Clinic. Pet's info: Dog | Havanese | Male | neutered | 4 years and 9 months old | 17 lbs

There are many possible causes for itchy ears but the most common in ears which appear clean and are not infected are allergies and food sensitivities. Specialized skin diets and omega fatty acids can help, prescription antiinflammatory medications may also be required
