My senior Great Dane is hobbling, can I help her at home?

Our 11 yr old Great Dane somehow hurt her front left shoulder...maybe a pulled muscle or tendon? She can get up but it's a struggle and she is hobbling. I don't think we can get her in the car/truck to take her to the vet. Is there anything we can do here at home to help her heal? Pet's info: Dog | Great Dane | Female | spayed | 11 years and 5 months old | 130 lbs

I would recommend either getting Ella to a veterinarian or getting a mobile veterinarian to come to your house. My concern is Ella is an 11 year old Great Dane and it could be more then just a soft tissue injury. It may be a soft tissue injury but it can also be a bone injury (a break, fracture or mass) and it may require an X-ray. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
