Pet's info: Dog | Dogue de Bordeaux | Male | neutered | 8 years and 4 months old | 102 lbs
Our dog has been suffering from both complete fecal and urinary incontinence for about a year now and under treatment for urinary stones for almost that same time. I found masses in his urine today. I also think he may have a UTI based on the smell of the urine. Are those bigger masses, in the urine, stones or something else? He’s on Hills urinary care c/d food. The food has not helped the incontinence but he seems happier. Are these masses of concern and/or related to the foul/ammonia smell?

Where the arrows are pointing it looks like it may be small stones. I would recommend a urinalysis checking for a urinary tract infection and potentially a urine culture. The urine culture will tell you exactly what bacteria is in the urine and what antibiotic to treat it. I would also recommend a X-ray to see if there are larger stones in the bladder. I hope Tucker feels better soon and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
