My dog killed a rat. What precautions for poison or disease?

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Female | 2 years and 5 months old | 88.184 lbs

Hello, i have female lab. It is 2 years old. My dog kills the rat tommrow. Is any precaution or not? But before 8 days i have vaccine a anti rabies. So virus of rat is in my dog or not..or nothing to worry..

The main worrying fact is rat poison, if the rat ingested poison before he was killed by your dog, Gracy could be affected by it (it could be fatal). i would recommend taking her to your vet in order to get vitamin K coverage just in case.
