My 12-year-old indoor cat never vaccinated. Can she just get boosters?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | 10 lbs

My cat is 12 and has never been vaccinated. She is indoor only with no exposure to outdoor cats. We are moving soon into a place that requires proof of vaccination. Can she just get boosters?

Hi there, I would talk to your vet and see what they are comfortable based on her health status. If the place you are moving requires vaccines, they may also require boosters or a written letter from your vet stating that she doesn't need the boosters. I hope that helps and thanks for using Pet Coach!
