Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | unspayed
My cat has started to get increasingly irritated in the past hour or so. Around eleven pm, we took off a cone she had been wearing (recently had stitches for an injury) and gave her some pain meds. Now, she follows me everywhere and bites me if i try to touch her. She's been more vocal than usual and when she is just sitting down, she is constantly in motion and scratching at the floor/shifting her legs. Could this be something serious?

Poor Dally ! I guess the symptoms you describe indicate that there is something bothering her. There is certainly some kind of pain somewhere. Is she going to the toilet ? Has she eaten ? I would not give her any more pain medications and just observe her without interfering too much. She might have some kind of abdominal discomfort and be unable to settle. It could be a tummy upset or cystitis for example. If this behaviour continues over the next 30-40 minutes I suggest that you have her checked over to understand what it’s happening and have some different pain relief if necessary. Hope she gets better soon !
