Pet's info: Dog | Siberian Husky | Female | spayed | 2 years old | 44 lbs
We rescued a husky from the shelter & ever since she has gotten home she has been itching her eyes like crazy (She is up to date on shots/vaccines). The white of the eyes are red & the outside skin is very irritated. It was very hard to get a picture but you can kind of see it. I’ve read that it was possibly allergies as we do have grass. I’ve been giving her Benadryl & spraying Burt’s bees spray on her (not in her eyes). When do I take her to the vet? Is this more serious than allergies?advice?

Hello, sorry to hear about Rogue. You can place a cone collar on her to keep her from scratching directly on her eyes. If her itchiness does not improve within 2-3 days then she may need stronger allergy medications and should be evaluated by her veterinarian. However, other causes for itchy eyes may include corneal ulcers, conjunctivitis, and dry eye. Hope this helps and best of luck.
