Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | spayed | 1 year old | 12 lbs
I have a small dog (12lbs) who appears to be having stomach issues. about a week ago she didn't want her dry food so we added a little canned food and she she ate that for a few days then stopped eating. so we started giving her chicken and rice, which she ate for a couple of days and seemed fine, but then one night she had a bout of diarrhea. so we switched to boiled chicken and rice and she enthusiastic ate it and a few hrs later threw it. i don't know what to do. someone said pumpkin???

Hello, I am sorry for your concerns for Mochi. We often recommend pumpkin to add more bulk or fiber to the diet, so I do not think it will help much in this case. You can try giving her some famotidine ( Pepcid ), 5 mg every 12 hours for a few days to see if this does not settle things down. Keep her on the bland diet of boiled chicken & white rice ( 25% chicken, 75% rice ), or a little low fat cottage cheese for a few more days, as well. Feed small, but frequent meals. Adding a probiotic cannot hurt. I like Proviable or Forti Flora. If she does not straighten out in a short time, or she starts vomiting, please see your veterinarian as soon as possible. Thank you.
