Poor Caty! From your pictures, it appears she has either cuts or a rash (it's hard to tell from the photos unfortunately). I would have her seen by a vet for these problem. The vet can diagnose what is causing it, and can treat her for it. Good luck, I hope it helps!

Any idea what this sore might be? Just came across it today.
Unfortunately it's really hard to tell from the picture, because many skin issues look the same in a cat. I would be concerned about an allergy (allergies to fleas, food, or the environment being the most common causes), or possibly a skin parasite that is causing itching. I would recommend a vet visit for a simple test called a skin scrap in which they will look at some skin cells under the microscope to see if they can find any organisms, and then treat accordingly. I'm trying to figure out what my cats skin rash is.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! I am afraid that it is not possible to diagnose this just based on a picture. This usually will require an examination and basic diagnostics. I am suspicious that he has been biting at his tail and this is possibly due to allergies. I recommend that you have him evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They would be able to diagnose his condition so that he can be started on therapy. Good luck!

My cat has a rash in her stomach and i dont know what it is
It looks like she might have a bacterial skin infection and/or an allergic dermatitis. You could bathe her with a medicated cat shampoo and see if that helps. Otherwise, have her examined by a vet for treatment. She may need an antibiotic, anti-histamine, and/or a corticosteroid to help treat the problem. Make sure she doesn't have fleas and treat her with a flea prevention, like Frontline, Revolution, Bravecto, etc. if you notice any fleas.

My cat is 1yr and healthy..today i found 3 or 4 rash under his neck..we didnt bath him for almost 3 month and he sometimes go outside..he doesn't scratch too much..can u plse give us some advice..he doesn't have any insurance
Poor Rasha! This rash could be caused by a contact allergy or a skin infection. Without seeing him in person, I can't say for certain and it is best that he is seen by a vet for this rash. While you can give him an oatmeal bath will may help temporarily give him relief, it will not cure the rash. Curing the rash requires diagnosis of the cause and medications from the vet. Many human medications and ointments contain ingredients that are not safe for cats, so it's best to take him into the vet Monday morning to get this rash treated.

My female cat has just dropped a litter of 3 kittens. She has some kind of rash on her neck mostly, but it seems to be spreading just a little. It is red and itchy patches , of what looks like flaky skin. I have treated her for fleas, but it's still
These areas on the skin look very suspicious of a ringworm infection or bacterial infection. Ms Pussington needs to be seen by a vet to get this looked at and treated. This won't respond to any at home treatment unfortunately. I would recommend scheduling an appt soon for her. In the meantime you can try cleaning the area with Betadine diluted 50:50 with warm water to provide a topical antiseptic clean. Nothing else should be placed on these wounds. She will likely need a skin scrape/cytology to identify the underlying pathogen and then treatment based on what the cause is. I hope she feels better soon.

My cat develop this rash on her face and also same side lip area. What should I do ?
Poor girl. Based on the photo, it's likely Boo has either a hot spot (Infected area on the skin, or a tooth root abscess (infection stemming from the underlying tooth root). In either case, she will definltely need to see your local vet to get this resolved because this will require a short course of presciription antibiotics at the very least in order to heal properly. Until you can get her seen by your vet, you can safely clean the area with some betadine (iodine) diluted 50:50 with warm water and wiping the area with this using a cloth 1-2 times a day. I do hope that Boo's skin heals up well soon! Best of luck moving forward and take care.

Hi, my cat has a rash on her back right hip. It has a series of tiny red scabs. The area seems to be sensitive and her fur is noticeably thinner there. What should I do?
This sounds very suspicious of either a flea allergy or a condition called eosinophilic granuloma complex or eosinophilic plaques. This condition is a hypersensitivity reaction that is diagnosed with a good examination and sometimes biopsy of the skin. It can be treated for with medications prescribed by your veterinarian, so it is best to get Minerva seen right away before it starts to spread to other parts of the body, causing more discomfort for her. Hi, my cat 4 years old has a skin rash and is creating bald spots. Is there anything I can give her or change to make it better?
Unfortunately, there a lot of causes behind skin rashes and hair loss, which is why it is important to bring Duchess to a vet for a workup. Rashes can be caused by issues such as parasites (fleas, ticks, lice, ect) which can cause a bite allergy -- and does present similar to the picture you provided. Other causes of rashes can include bacterial or fungal infections, underlying illnesses, food or environmental allergens. I would treat Duchess for any fleas and also be sure to thoroughly wash all bedding, clean her environment, vacuum floorboards, etc. You can also try an allergy medication while treating for the fleas to help reduce irritation while she heals (your vet can give you the correct dosage for Duchess' weight and size). Using an old T-shirt or an Elizabethan (cone) collar to keep her from licking and chewing the irritated area can also help reduce the chances of an infection taking hold. It's still a good idea to schedule a vet visit even if you are doing home treatment. T
