My dog bit a deodorant spray bottle. Is it toxic? Will she be okay?

Bentley was playing with a deodorant spray bottle and she bit into it and it started to spray outward. I took it away from her, but all in all, will she be okay?

Hello, and thank you for your question. It is difficult to tell whether Bentley ingested a toxic amount of the deodorant since it was a spray. Aerosols can contain hydrocarbons which are volatile compounds that can cause stomach upset. If you think she ingested a large amount of the spray, I would take her to the vet now just in case. Otherwise, I would monitor her for any vomiting or diarrhea. If this happens, I would contact your vet at that point. If mild diarrhea is seen, you can try fasting her for about 12 hours, then start offering small frequent meals of a bland diet such as boiled chicken and rice. I hope this helps, and that Bentley is feeling well!
