My dog hasn't seen a vet in 5 years. Is it too late for a checkup?

Hi, I’ve had my dog since i was 13 and from what I’ve known from his previous owner he was already fully vaccinated so at that point in time i didn’t really worry about going to a vet. However my parents doesn’t really feel a need that a dog would need to go to a vet. I am now 18 and got a job a few months ago. Since it’s been 5 years i am worried that i would get in trouble going only now

Your dog does need to go to the vet for a check up. Preventative medicine is a lot cheaper than health problems and this is a chance to stay on top of things before they get bad if needed. You will not get in trouble at all... someone will be glad to help you get caught up in vaccines and go over things to monitor for as he gets older
