I just recently got a pet pig, and he was acting fine until he ate a ketchup package on accident. He won’t eat, can’t move, and shakes as if he is weak.

Hello. The ketchup packet may be causing a blockage in Rootie’s stomach. I’m concerned that he may become very sick if he doesn’t see a veterinarian soon. A thorough exam, possibly X-rays and blood work may be needed to figure this out. If the packet is indeed causing a blockage, then it will be necessary to remove it, either using endoscopy or by surgery. Hopefully your local veterinarian will be able to help. I’m happy to consult with you if you need more information. Good luck!
