Why is my puppy foaming and vomiting after contact with cleaning wipes?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | French Bulldog | Male | unneutered | 25 lbs

Someone used chlorox bleach wipes on my puppy's private parts and seconds later he started foaming out of his mouth and vomiting, was it due to the wipes?

You would need to check with ASPCA poison control (https://www.aspca.org/pet-care/animal-poison-control) to be safe, but I do not believe that the chlorox wipes contain bleach. However, they do contain some ingredients that can be irritating to the mouth. However, those ingredients normally take a while to show up as a problem. My suspicion would be that there was something in the wipe that tasted bad or was bitter which caused the foaming and that was irritating enough to cause the vomiting. If Tofu has continued to vomit, is lethargic, or does not eat, I would certainly have your veterinarian evaluate him. Good luck! I hope Tofu is fine and that was helpful. Thanks for using PetCoach.
