My dog stares, licks air, and growls. Could this be a seizure?

Hi, my dog is a wired haired jack russell and she's about 7 years old. For a few yeard now she goes into these really weird stares where she constantly licks the air and often the walls and gets extremely grouchy to the point where she growls at you for a slight movement from a few metres away and snaps at you sometimes if you walk past her. We have no idea what's wrong with her, any ideas?

This sounds like it could possibly be a seizure type of event. I would highly encourage you to video tape/ record the next event and then have her seen by a veterinarian. Make sure to take the video with you. They may recommend blood work to look for other causes such as liver shunts and thyroid disease. Best of luck and I hope you get an answer!
