Does pet insurance cover the cost of a blood test for a dog? What about one time or regular medications?

This depends on the terms and conditions of your policy, all companies and packages differ. Most will pay for accident and illness cases but often not for routine wellness monitoring. Most policies pay on for investigation and treatment of each individual condition, but you would be eligible to pay the initial excess so it is possible occasional or one off medications may not exceed this limit to warrant a claim
