My puppy is limping after a door accident. What should I do next?

we bought a little puppy had her 2days and had an accident already,We had been playing in the garden as i was going to be leaving her to go to the pet shop,We came in after 10mins outside and went to kitchen where she fell asleep,I left the door open with a chair in front but was windy,so i left her thereand went to shut it,The wind caught the door before i could grab the handle and my pup had woke up and of cause ended up with her paw bein in the door.She has been vet checked but has a limp

Hi there and thank you for using pet coach to address your concern. If xrays have not been taken of the affected leg, I would certainly recommend doing this to rule out a bone fracture as this could be the cause of the limp. The bones may be absolutely fine and this may just be soft tissue trauma / bruising that is causing the limp. She should receive an anti inflammatory for the pain and rest her in her cage for at least 14-21 days to restrict activity and promote healing of the injured leg.
