My dog is lethargic, vomiting, and withdrawn. Is he feeling unwell?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 697 years and 5 months old

Hello,I have noticed a change in my fur baby. I've noticed he's been a bit larthargic from time to time. but when I look at him I can just tell he's not feeling well. Last week he was vomiting how ever it only happened twice and in the middle of the night. He hasn't done it in over a week however I've noticed he has still been slightly withdrawn. I did have the flu a few weeks ago and I'm almost positive he's eaten a tissue or two from that . Can that be passed to him. Anything I can do for him?

Hi there and thank you for using pet coach to address your concern. The flu you had would not transmit to Ace so you do not need to worry about this. I am concerned that he may be dealing with a systemic illness such as liver disease or kidney disease or an infection. I would recommend having a veterinarian examine him so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. I would initiate a bland diet of chicken and rice and also add in a probiotic such as Purina fortiflora which can be found online quite easily. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further
