My cat has a white spot on his eye. Could it be a scratched cornea?

My cat has a small white spot on one of his eyes, he's only 3 and it just noticed it today. I'm afraid he got it playing too rough with my other cat. Could it be a scratched cornea?

It very well could be a scratch. If he is also squinting his eye and develops eye discharge then this is definitely a corneal scratch. However if he doesn’t seem bothered by it and the eye is clear otherwise, it may be a pigment or old scar on the corneal surface. If he becomes symptomatic then have your vet examine him and do a confirmatory eye test so that he can be prescribed antibiotic eye ointment to help this scratch heal. Best of luck with your kitty Kidogo. Take care.

It could be! That looks like he may have an ulceration on the cornea or it could be a viral or fungal lesion. I suggest you get him to your vet for an exam as soon as you can. If left untreated he could go blind or have other vision issues.
