My dog ate ham. Is it harmful? When should I take him to the vet?

Pet's info: Dog | Cavalier King Charles Spaniel | Male | neutered | 22 lbs

We have our dog some left over Xmas ham last night 13 hours ago) we have just found out ham is not good for dogs, he seems fine, should we take him to the vet?

No you don’t need to take him to the vet right now. If he start acting lethargic, stops eating, or starts vomiting or having diarrhea, then yes I would take him to your vet then. Your vet will be able to get him started on something to help settle his tummy and make him feel better. I agree that ham isn’t the best thing to feed them, but some dogs will eat a little bit and not have a problem. Just watch him closely. I hope this helps!
