Why is my senior Jack Russell losing weight with bloody diarrhea?

I have a 15 year old jack russell , she has had weight loss over the last year . She seems to have an.upset stomach more frequently and as started having bloody diarrhoea which smells like melina she can not seem to control this when this occurs. Any advice please Thank you. There could be several causes for the symptoms you have described, including chronic pancreatitis, IBD, intestinal parasites, food allergies or intolerance, GI lymphoma, bleeding disorders, some cancers, among many other things. I would recommend that you have Bonnie checked out by a vet. After a thorough physical exam, they may recommend diagnostics such as bloodwork, intestinal parasite screening, x-rays, or ultrasound.
