A new stray dog joined my feeding group and won't leave. What to do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

I was feeding two stray dogs outside my workplace and now third from their pack comes there and third one sits all day long outside the door of my workplace only unless and until I feed him and if I feed him then they all three sits outside only ... I have no problem whether they sit outside or not but my problem is how can I move that new third one who is sling food from me or what should I do ?

There is really no way to "move" the third one if they all come at the same time and are fed at the same time. If the first two come alone, feed them and simply ignore the third when he arrives. If there is no food, he will give up after a few days and look for a meal elsewhere. i don't know where in the country you live, but many parts of the US are severely cold right now. If that's the case where you are, and you can manage to feed the third one, it would be a kindness to do so. Just realize that, once you start feeding strays, you may find many more showing up! Be prepared now so you can manage it before it gets completely out of hand.
