Pet's info: Dog | American Cocker Spaniel | Female | spayed | 12 years and 3 months old | 135 lbs
My 12 year old cocker spaniel has had dry eye for several years and I use natural tear drops to help that - but she has developed an eyelid mass. Our vet said just leave it alone if it doesn’t cause discomfort but it has grown and is bothering her. Her liver count is up and the vet is afraid to put her to sleep to remove it. They won’t try under local anthestic because of it being her eye. Any suggestions?

I believe that in such a case, because the quality of life is affected greatly, that a surgery should be done with all it's risks, it's a simple surgery that does not take a long time meaning risks are still very minor. if your vet does not agree you might want to look for another clinic in your area of living that might share my opinion.
