Why is my dog's back end weak, collapsing, and losing energy?

hi my dog Todd he's about 6 and a Pomeranian.. his back end is not working properly he has no energy, his back legs can just about hold him up, he hasn't eaten much and isn't drinking much his been like this since 28/12/17... he collapses or falls when he's been standing for no longer than about 2-3 mins he was fine up until the 28th I have no idea what has happened to him he was fine the night before but now his completely different..

I'm so sorry to hear that is going on with Todd. There are a few things that can cause those clinical signs. One of the most common is a bulging disc that is pressing on his spinal cord. I have included a handout with information on that below. https://www.veterinarypartner.com/Content.plx?P=A&S=0&C=0&A=3223 There are other things that could be going on, but dogs with disc disease often improve with appropriate treatment, so it is important to have Todd evaluated by a veterinarian as soon as possible to start treatment.
