What's this small, non-sore bump on my dog's front leg near her paw?

Pet's info: Dog | Dachshund | Female | spayed | 22 lbs

when i left home this morning my dog was fine when inreturn she had a small bump on her frong leg right above her foot by the joint. It doesnt seem to bother her and isnt sore, but was wandering what it could be?

Hello. It is impossible to diagnose a bump from a picture, but some of the possibilities include soft tissue swelling from a trauma, a strain or sprain, inflammation from a sting or bite, of the presence of a small tear in the joint capsule in the carpal area. You can try alternating warm & cold compresses on the area for about 10 minutes 3 times a day, & if it is no better in 3-4 days, or she develops a limp, please see your veterinarian. Take care.
