What's the best way to find my dog's breed and potential health risks?

Pet's info: Dog | Chow Chow | Male | unneutered | 5 months and 16 days old | 40 lbs

What breed is my dog any help and how do I find out because I want to know so I can be aware of any health problems I already know he’s chow chow and the owners who I got him from said he’s half chow and half catahoula which I don’t see I only see the chow chow and kit of dna test that are good

I like the Wisdom Panel DNA test. It is a kit you can get a home and do yourself. https://www.wisdompanel.com/ They will give you an idea of breed(s) and after that you will have to do your own research on medical issues that are common in those breeds.

    Cooper is quite the cutie! I can see an argument for both breeds, but he's certainly a mix of a few I think. I'd recommend the Embark DNA test. Wisdom Panel is another good option. The Embark test has a bit more medical information (although you have to take it with a grain of salt because it's still being researched). Fun post-holiday present to Cooper??
