Is white discharge from my male dog's penis normal or concerning?

Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male | neutered | 5 years and 9 months old | 80 lbs

hi, I have a 6 year old german shepherd named Kaiser, Ive noticed over the last week or so some white discharge on the tip of his penis.... can you tell what this might be?

It is normal for male dogs to have a small amount of discharge from the penis. Some dogs do a better job then others in cleaning themselves. It is usually a whitish to yellowish substance. If it is just being noticed occasionally I wouldn’t be concerned, however if it is enough that he is leaving puddles on the floor then he should be evaluated by a veterinarian.     Yes, this is normal for some dogs to have a little bit of discharge from their penis that can become stuck to the hair. As long as his urinary habits haven't changed (no accidents in the house, etc) I wouldn't be worried. If he's not licking himself clean, you're doing exactly what you should by wiping him after he urinates!
