Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | unneutered | 9 months and 11 days old | 60 lbs
We started switching our puppy’s food from a veterinary blend to the same brand but different blend. He also got some large real bones for Xmas and eating them over the course of 3 days. Resulted in really bad diarrhea and now he won’t eat his dry food. Will eat boiled chicken and a little bit of rice but won’t touch his dry food at all. Staying hydrated and still peeing and pooping. Poop is now a more pudding like consistency. Won’t touch the old or new blend of food. Very worried!

I would recommend a prescription bland diet but as a wet food. Indy may also need antibiotics to help resolve everything. The diarrhea is probably from the bones and I would recommend not giving him those bones anymore if he got diarrhea from them. If your veterinarian is not open during New Year's Eve and day as long as he is eating, not lethargic, not vomiting and no blood in his stool it is ok to wait. If you are concerned about hydration you can always add water to Indy's food to help. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
