Cow milk is not recommended as it may lead to gastrointestinal upset (vomiting and diarrhea). An appropriate puppy milk replacer, such as Esbilac or Pet-Lac, is recommended in place of cow milk. Warmed milk is also recommended to prevent chill. A puppy likely will refuse cold milk of any kind unless very hungry.
