Should Doberman tails be cut for health reasons or is it cosmetic?

I heared a rumor that the doberman dog must cut his tail for health problems this is right or wrong? Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Female | unspayed | 1 year old | 59 lbs

Of coarse there are always individual cases where this may be true. However, in general tail docking is cosmetic and not a medical decision.
