My puppy's face is swollen with a jaw lump and purple tooth?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 4 months and 8 days old | 20 lbs

Hello, I noticed my about four month old pitbull/border collie face looked a bit lol sided, it doesn't hurt her too much but there's a small on her jawline. I looked inside of her mouth and there's pretty small hard lump between her jaw and cheeck (attached below) and some purple on her one of her teeth. I'm quite worried and I can't offord to pay a vet to tell me she'll be fine. This will be day two of the lump.

Luna is adorable! This swelling could be an abscess. It could be abnormal erruption of a tooth. Those are the two things that come to mind at first glance. I really think she needs to see a vet for this issue. I don't think it's an emergency but she should be seen soon. I suggest you contact one of these organizations to see if they can help you with the cost. http://www.petsandfriendspueblo.com/helpful-organizations.html Is she up to date on her vaccines? Deworming? Are you planning on having her spayed? The organizations in the above link can help you with all of that. Hope this helps. Best wishes.
