I am adopting a dog with sarcoptic mange. She has begun treatment with nexgaurd and ketoseb shampoo. Is she still contagious or can she be around other dogs and people when I bring her home? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | unspayed | 2 months and 23 days old | 15 lbs

Sarcoptic mange is highly contagious to other pets and even humans. The treatment can take as long as six weeks for your puppy to respond completely and, until then, I recommend limiting your exposure to her and quarantining her away from any other pets until she is recovered.
