Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | neutered | 3 years and 3 months old | 19 lbs
My dog has a thing above his lip, he starts to breath heavily and squirm if i touch it. I would describe it as a skin tag, but its red and is still attached to his skin. Is this something i should really be concerned about? Can it be removed? And will it turn into somethtmore dangerous? What is it? It is very hard to see in the pictures, but it is small and red.

Hello, sorry to hear about Chase. He may have that reaction to you touching it due to anxiety of being touched around his lips and face. It appears like it can be removed with adequate margins and submitted to biopsy to determine what this is. A biopsy would be the best way to know if this is something you should worry about or not, however, in a 3 year old pet I would be less concerned about an aggressive disease. Hope this helps and best of luck.
