My cat has yellow bloody poop and isn't using the litter box. Help!

Question

Today I noticed in my cats litter box there was bright yellow stool that wasn’t covered up and smelled very foul, but I didn’t see which cat it was. And just now when I picked a blanket off the floor I found yellow poop there again, but this time it has bright red blood in it. I’ve never had any trouble with any of my cats not using the litter box. I don’t have any 24/7 vets near me. Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 11 lbs

It sounds as Monkey is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking him to the vet the first chance you get, he will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection he will need an antibiotic course and a special food for a few days in order to get better.
